BLINDS
Cleaning blinds is often a task that is undesirable and is ignored. How might we create a small and unobtrusive device that makes cleaning blinds easy, enjoyable, and successful?

“it’s hard to get all of the dust, the vacuum doesn’t get it all and I can’t really fit a cloth in there very well”
“usually I look at it and walk away”
“I don’t particularly enjoy cleaning but having a method to remind me and keep the process simple would be helpful”
INITIAL IDEAS
Looking at what blind cleaners existed and what could be used with existing home cleaning items (vacuums and dusters), I began ideating.

PROCESS AND PROTOTYPING
Through continued critique I honed in on three designs and made physical prototypes of them.

DEVELOPMENT
After making the prototypes, gaining user feedback, and practicing use, I turned toward the direction of this design. Able to hug the blind, it glides across and picks up dust. Further refinement was required however to produce the final product.
